Oven Baked Potato Patties

Ingredients

  • 4 Potatoes, peeled
  • 1 Onion, peeled
  • 3 tbsp Maida
  • 2 Green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp. Garlic, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Chaat masala 
  • 2 tbsp Coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • Oil for greasing

Method

  • Preheat Oven on 200°C on toast setting.
  • Grate the potatoes in the processing jar of your Morphy Richards Icon Deluxe Food processor using the special grating blade.
  • Peel and slice the onion.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, onions, green chilli, red chilli powder, salt, black pepper, chaat masala, coriander and flour. Mix well.
  • Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Using your hands, rub the surface with the olive oil.
  • Use the same oiled hands to divide the mixture into 10 even portions and shape into patties. Place on the oiled parchment paper.
  • Bake until crispy and golden on one side (about 20 minutes). The cakes should come off the parchment easily. Flip and bake 20 minutes until they are a deep golden brown on the other side as well.
  • Serve warm.
