One-Bowl Microwave Mac ‘N’ Cheese
With ‘work from home’ and ‘work at home’, life has become daunting during the time of the pandemic. While food is the only knight in the shining armour while at home, people tend to get bored with the same thing every day. Why don’t give a twist to your everyday meals? This recipe is for those times when you just can’t get time to pull out a pan. Give your life a cheesy boost!!

Ingredients
- Macaroni – ½ cup or 50 gms
- Milk – 4 tbsp
- Cheese, shredded – ¼ cup or 25 gms
- Salt – As per taste
- Pepper – As per taste
- Fresh chives, chopped – For garnishing (optional)
Method
Step 1: Take a 250 ml microwave-safe mug, combine macaroni, water and salt and stir well. Microwave it for 2 minutes on high power (it might take few more mins depending on your microwave wattage). Also, please check if the water is foaming over the side of the bowl.

If the macaroni absorbs all the water before it turns soft, add another 2 tbsp of water.
Step 2: Add milk, cheese, salt, and pepper and stir well. Microwave for another 30 seconds. Keep stirring between each interval, until the cheese melts and forms a creamy sauce. If you want more creamy sauce, add two tablespoons of milk and cheese.
Step 3: Garnish with a sprinkle of chives. Serve hot!
Notes/Tips:
You can also add leftover veggies or cooked meat to your cheesy macaroni.Share:
